Just a quick one outside the usual Monday news blast as I had some exciting news to share: Baleen is one of a small number of featured publications on the  Substack homepage and Discover page right now!

So, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all of you: Substack selects their featured publications based on titles with a growing, engaged audience who can’t wait to open the newsletter each week. So really, this one’s for you! Thank you.

Despite being a passion project, it’s sometimes a challenge to drag my butt to the laptop on a Sunday to filter through the news and collate Baleen for you. So, it’s been so motivating to see the Pod growing, clicking and sharing each week.

Thanks again and see you on Monday - I’ve already been gathering some cool ocean news to share with you next week including robo-scientists and a great excuse for me to include an otter meme… watch this space!
